At COPA Academy, our goal is to provide a proudly South African music education programme that is locally accredited and designed to support the study of any musical genre. As a contemporary music institution, our learning materials focus on bass guitar, drum kit, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboard, and vocals, providing students with a solid foundation in modern music performance.

What makes our lesson series unique is its flexibility. Rather than prescribing specific set pieces, we provide clear guidelines on the types of repertoire and skills required within contemporary and popular music styles. Our lesson books can be completed systematically from beginning to end, with the option of undertaking a formal assessment upon completion. Alternatively, students may choose to work through the material at their own pace for personal enrichment and skill development.
